Greenfleet = awsome!

Greenfleet_Supporter-Logo_MediumHere at Urban Street Food we’ve taken another step towards helping the environment by purchasing “offset credits” for our business vehicle. With the credits we’ve purchased, enough trees will be planted to captureĀ 4.3 tonnes CO2-e each year.

But even with the credits purchased, we still need to be mindful of the amount of driving we do each week by planning trips ahead of time and staying organised so that driving can be reduced…and the good work not wasted!

Greenfleet are a very professional and active organisation (and they’re really friendly & helpful) that have been planting a diverse range of native trees in areas of Australia since 1997. They’ve managed to re-vegetate barren land and areas that have been affected by salinity, and create rich forests that act as bio-sequestration areas (carbon capturing).

The fabulous news is that you don’t have to be a business to buy credits, anyone can do it, and it doesn’t cost very much at all!
