Come to the festival to taste produce you have not sampled before. Enjoy a great social day with friends, food and wine and see what is produced in our local area.
Our program is choc full of celebrities, cooking demonstrations and entertainment.
The Lara Food and Wine Festival operates on a not for profit basis and is auspiced by the Lara Community Centre.
The festival aims to showcase the diverse range of quality food and wine produced in the Lara region. The event also aims to:
Promote and support local producers
Educate the public about local produce
Promote the Lara region and its tourism industry
Contribute to the quality of life and civic pride within the local Lara community
Support and promote the arts and culture in the community
The Kewmunity Day (aka Family Fun Day) and Community Parade is to be held on Saturday 23 March, starting at 10.30am and finishing 4:00pm.

Visitors can expect to find an excellent variety of both local and regional stalls offering quality Australian Made products, delicious gourmet foods and fresh home grown produce.
The Macdeon Ranges is less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne along the Calder Freeway and only half that time from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport. Hanging Rock is easily accessed from the A79 Calder Freeway which passes by on the eastern side of Woodend or via Mt Macedon or from the M31 Hume Highway by turning off at Kilmore and travelling through Lancefield, or alternatively from Wallan via Romsey.
